Work on first leg of Beaufort rail trail nears completion

Efforts to shape the first mile of The Spanish Moss Trail from Depot to Allison roads continues and on Friday, local company Preservation Tree Care volunteered several hours of time to clean up brush around the rail depot, just off Depot Road.
A grand opening is slated for November 20, with the trail already passing into a usable state.
