The Beaufort County Boys and Girls Clubs announced its plans to re-incorperate the Beaufort County Teen Center into the newer Boundry Street building.

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry executive dirctor Doug Barry pointed to the poor economic climate as a central reason behind the move, further explaining that proceeds from the sale will be kept in a "reserve account."

This certainly is unfortunate. As some of you will remember, the teen center opened in 2006 after the Boys and Girls Club embarked on a three-year, $2 million fundraising campaign.
