Pellet gun shooting at Bluffton home leaves one man injured

A 32-year old man was shot and robbed while at home in his apartment complex, according to a statement released by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Monday, May 9.

According to victim's report, the man was waling to his Simmonsville Road apartment after being dropped off at the entrance by friends at about 2:15 a.m. A black male unknown to the victim then approached the victim, and shot him in the chest with what was later believed to be either a pellet or BB gun before stealing his wallet and fleeing the scene. The victim was eventually transported to Savannah for treatment and was released later that morning. 

Authorities are currently searching for lead subjects in this case, so stay tuned as this story continues to develop.
