Port Royal Days Inn robbed at gunpoint; Suspect sought

On Monday, December 3, the Days Inn was robbed and the Port Royal Police Department is looking for help in finding the suspect.

The department states that near 9:15 p.m. an unknown suspect entered the hotel at 1660 Ribaut Road and pointed a silver and black semi automatic pistol at the receptionist and made off with the cash drawer and the receptionist's wallet.

The department continues, "The suspect is described as a light skinned black male approximately 6 feet tall with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a dark colored shirt over his head, black sweat shirt, black and gray shoes and blue jeans with a light design or fraying on the rear pockets. He then fled on foot to the Oakhill Terrace area where it is thought he entered a vehicle and made his getaway."
