St. Helena teens charged after failed alleged burglaries

18 year-olds Shaequan Matthews and Aaron Atkins were arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly attempting to burglar several Marsh Harbor Drive apartments on Lady's Island.
Police say Matthews and Atkins were attempting to steal a television and a number of other personal belongings from one apartment, but were held at gun point by the resident having failed to escape in time. The man subdued the men in his wrecked apartment until the authorities arrived at 1 p.m.
The two are now each facing two counts of second degree burglary and a $40,000 bail issued by the Beaufort County Detention Center.

We had a call into the county deputies about this one on Thursday but didn't have any luck getting a call back.
