West Nile virus kills three in SC; Most ever recorded in state history

With three deaths recorded this year, the West Nile virus has claimed the most lives ever recorded in the state of South Carolina.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control stated that Aiken County, with eight cases, has had the highest number so far. Richland County has recorded four cases.

So far no one in Beaufort or Jasper counties has yet to test positive to the virusĀ as of October 10.
