Updated July 27: Was just a bullet in The Island Packet's coverage of last night's Beaufort City Council meeting, but the council did indeed approve the changes to the Airport Junction development.

Read up on the details of the settlement here.

Reported July 26: A deal between the City of Beaufort, Fred Trask and Airport Junction LLC will go before the City Council for second and final reading tonight.

You can read a bit of the backstory regarding the lawsuit and potential for big boxes on Lady's Island and the details of the settlement here.

Also, a copy of tonight's City Council agenda is available online here.

City Council's work session begins at 5 p.m. in City Hall, and the full council meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Interesting on the work session agenda is "Tourism Management Advisory Committee Preliminary Ordinance Revision Recommendations"

Not sure if this related to the recent Beaufort Chamber, VCB, DMO issues.
