Update September 3: Still no final answer but a report from WTOC 11 is putting its weight on blaming teething squirrels for the browned leaves.

First reporting August 30: We're not quite sure if there's an issue with Beaufort County's live oaks or not, but this story in The Island Packet seems to suggest there is, but the cause is up for debate. Disease? Squirrels? Something else?
