Tasty fried softshells at last year's festival.

The 9th Softshell Crab Festival came to Port Royal on Saturday, April 21, from noon to 5 — and with it came the annual judging for who made the best traditional soft shell crab dish and who sported the best "other" crab item; here are the results:

Soft Shell Crab
- First: Moondoggies Cafe & Grill, Soft Shell Crab Sandwich
- Second: Port Royal Seafood, Fried Soft Shell Crab
- Third: Sea Eagle Market, Fried Soft Shell Crab

Other Crab
- First: Berry Island Cafe, Crab Cakes
- Second: Pierogi Hut, Crab Pierogies
- Third:  Berry Island Cafe, Crab Chowder
