With Hargray taking over many televisions in Northern Beaufort County after a deal with Charter, news station WHHI-TV will soon be reaching many more of our homes — and with that, the upstart station has seen an opportunity.

As have a few local media partners.

On Thursday, July 12, at 7 p.m. WHHI-TV will air its first "The Beaufort News" segment on Hargay's channel 8, with support from partners The Island News, The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Lowcountry Weekly to produce its two daily segments at 7 and 11 p.m.
