Mission provides thousands of socks, started by Summerville 4th grader

During Saturday's Convoy of Hope community event, 3,634 pairs of socks were distributed to those whose feet might otherwise go unwarmed -- but the real kicker is how it all got started.

Last year a then 3rd grader Jordan Crabb of Summerville had noticed while volunteering for a community Christmas event for children that kids from poorer families often did not have socks. It was something she says made her really sad, and it lead to a passion which lead to the birth of "Warm Feet, Happy Hearts."

Live 5 News caught up with Crabb and has a nice video, and you can connect with the mission of Facebook.

The Post and Courier also has a report and notes in detail how you can help out.
