First reporting: Charleston's homebrew beer group, Lowcountry Libations, is starting an officially sanctioned beer competition: The Charles Town Homebrew Competition.

So if you've been making some tasty brew at home, be sure to hop over to The Charleston City Paper for some context on the event and then onto the competition's site for all the details.

The competition will be held at a private location on March 7, but your entry has to be submitted by Friday, February 27.
