Jazz Artists of Charleston announces a call for submissions for performing musicians for its 2013 calendar year.

This will include JAC Week, April 7 – 13, during National Jazz Appreciation Month, its 6th Annual JAC Jazz Series during the Spoleto festival season, May 23 – June 9, in addition to other events throughout 2013 currently in planning phases.

Applications are being accepted from all musicians who perform in all genres and subgenres of jazz. Group size is limited to small ensembles, no larger than nine. Applicants are encouraged to submit thematic programs. Submission deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012. No late applications will be accepted. Applicants must include all materials requested to be considered for programming. A $10 non-refundable fee per application submitted is required.

Applications are available and may be submitted online. Mail complete packages to Jazz Artists of Charleston, P.O. Box 21756, Charleston, SC 29413 or deliver to JAC’s Charleston Jazz House, 185-A Saint Philip Street, open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
