Satin Dolls String Quartet Premieres June 2

CHARLESTON (May 11, 2010) – Go beyond the fringe this
Spoleto Season and experience the charm and glamour of the Satin
Dolls String Quartet, a new musical ensemble debuting at Bethel United
Methodist Church June 2 at 7 p.m. Launched by local musician Robbi Kenney, the Satin Dolls
String Quartet features a fresh mix of eclectic music, including a tango
by Piazzola, a bossa by Jobim, the romance of Brahms, and the French influences
of Satie and Ravel – all ingredients for a sizzling, summertime soiree.

Satin Dolls members
include Robbi Kenney on violin and piano, Jadde Nolty on violin, Anjali Lind on
viola, and Annelise Nelson on the cello. Combining their various experiences in
theatre, jazz, Celtic music, New Music, and orchestral music, these vibrant
instrumentalists will collaborate to provide an enticing variety of musical
styles.
