Local design firm, {e} house studio, will be showing the mobile world that “bigger is better” with their commercial for the new Pantech Pocket, the latest in Android technology, during the 2011 Winter Dew Tour.

The Pantech Pocket commercial created by {e} house studio begins airing December 15th on NBC, USA, MTV2, Bravo, Chiller, E! Entertainment Television, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, Nickelodeon, Oprah Winfrey Network, SOAPnet, TLC and WE. Shot locally in Mt. Pleasant and downtown Charleston, S.C., the commercial features a local producer, director, art director, hair and makeup professionals and actors.

{e} house studio is the digital agency of record for Pantech and their original collaboration began with a redesign of the PantechUSA.com web site. {e} house studio has gone on to design a series of web videos, a microsite for Pantech’s sponsorship of the Dew Tour, and a mobile app for Pantech. In October, Pantech retained {e} house studio to write and direct a national television commercial and accompanying web videos, marking the first venture for {e} house studio in this medium.

“We have traditionally been a digital agency, but when Pantech approached us with this opportunity, it made sense for us to expand our work to include commercials,” said Aaron Quinn of {e} house studio. “We are excited to tackle new ground, and with the help of our video partner, Jewell and Ginnie, we were able to deliver a cohesive campaign that the client loved.”

{e} house studio has been honored with two W3 Awards for their work for Pantech. The W3 Awards are given by the International Academy of Visual Arts and honor creative excellence on the web and recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites, videos and marketing programs. For the design of the Pantech Dew Tour mobile app, {e} house studio won a National 2011 Silver W3 Award for Sport Mobile Apps, and also took home a National 2011 W3 Award for Sports for the microsite they created for Pantech’s sponsorship of the 2011 Dew Tour.

“I think this type of work is exciting for Charleston creatives and the Charleston business community as a whole,” Quinn said. “It demonstrates that we can live and work in this beautiful city and still have the opportunities that have typically been reserved for major cities.”
