Irene may have already hit Myrtle Beach (update: high hopes for Labor Day)

Uh oh.
Update August 30th: It looks like business and toursim is trending up as we approach the last big weekend of the Summer season.

First Report: There may be no wind damage or flooding in our forecast, but some Myrtle Beach businesses will sustain financial damage just from the threat of a hurricane.
Aside from Spring, September through November is prime wedding season and it begins with the last weekend in August. WPDE has an interesting take on how Irene has generated some bridezillas and trouble for local wedding planners. Read and watch it here.
