Update August 25: The deal is now official.

The new agreement offers a one-time infusion $600,000 to the College from TD Bank, which will secure naming rights through June 30, 2018.

Under the prior agreement, the College already had received payments totaling $412,500 from Carolina First Bank for the naming rights.

First reporting August 9: The lease is up on the name for the College of Charleston's Carolina First Arena and, as was expected, the lettering may soon get a remix.

TD Bank Financial Services bought Carolina First and now the college is looking to get the new bank in charge onboard with sponsoring the 190,500-square-foot stadium that opened in 2008.

The Post and Courier has a solid report on what's up; read it here.
