You can't thumb through the Carolina Forest Chronicle without seeing Michael Smith's name on nearly every page.

Whether it's an investigative report, a photograph, social media post, or page design, it's evident that Smith is driven by a love for his community and a desire to provide the absolute best news coverage over other media outlets that have far more resources.

275 Smith has compiled his experiences into a book titled, "Confessions of a Community Journalist"  where he shares his thoughts on how to be a more effective community reporter. You can purchase the book on CreateSpace now and it should appear on Amazon.com very soon.

At TheDigitel, community reporting is near and dear to our hearts. If Waccamaw Publishers had a slightly improved website, we would be able to highlight the works of Smith much more often. That said, we will be picking up a couple copies of this book!
