The anti-gun violence Brady Center has taken a crack at South Carolina's lax gun laws and apparent contribution to nationwide gun trafficking.

According to their analysis, the loose counter sales, lack of limit on monthly purchases, and weak background checks has South Carolina ranked fifth in the country for overall and per capita contribution to interstate gun-trafficking.

While other states have clamped down on gun sales, in recent years South Carolina has been expanding access and legal ownership of guns.
