Lowcountry Strawberry Festival starts today

This year's Lowcountry Strawberry Festival at Boone Hall Plantation is not only a great way to load up on strawberries, but also offers a slew of county-fair like rides and even a petting zoo.

Come out from April 10 to 13 (Thursday to Sunday) to enjoy attractions and activities for all ages.

The highlights of this year's festival are a giant ferris wheel, live music, a pie eating contest, and the Miss Berry Princess Contest and of course, strawberry picking. Click here to see what else is in store.

The Festival will run from 6 p.m. to 10 on April 10, 4 p.m. to 11 on Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children (plus tickets for rides) and can be purchased upon arrival at Boone Hall Plantation (do not use the main entrance to Boone Hall Plantation on Long Point Rd., instead use the entrance 1/2 mile north of Long Point Rd. on Hwy. 17).
