Dock Street Theatre's 2011-'12 season announced

The 2011-12 season at the historic Dock Street Theatre has officially been announced--and it's filled with shows you won't want to miss.

Charleston Stage is excited for its 34th season at the Dock Street Theatre, and the fun kicks off in less than a month. This season, you'll be able to look forward to the following shows:

  • September 2-18, 2011 - The unforgettable, razzle-dazzle musical Chicago
  • October 14-30, 2011 - Just in time for Halloween, the classically scary Dracula
  • December 2-18, 2011 - The classic Christmas story A Christmas Carol, A Ghost Story of Christmas
  • December 10-18, 2011 - The holiday-filled and great-for-the-whole-family tale The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
  • January 28-29, 2012 - You'll want to bring the kids out to see the classic play Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day
  • February 10-26, 2012 - The hilarious musical that Entertainment Weekly raved about: Avenue Q
  • March 9-25, 2012 - A comedy based in the Holy City and on true events, Inga Binga
  • April 6-28, 2012 - The multi-cultural spin on a classic story, The Wiz
