North Charleston Fire Museum is a cool way to beat the heat

Charleston Magazine has a nice review of a recent visit to the North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire Museum.

The author of the piece brought along an 11-year-old accomplice who gives some honest critiques of the place, along with likes, dislike and even a suggestion or two for an even more interactive experience. Overall, both 11-year-old Olive and author Melissa Binger had an awesome time at one of North Charleston lesser known attractions.

The North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire Museum is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free for children under 13 and is only $6 for everyone else. The museum is located at 4975 Centre Pointe Drive.
