Charleston's most notable food critics are in the process of selecting six of the Holy City's top chefs to participate in the upcoming Ultimate Critics Dinner charity dinner. The one-night-only, limited-ticket event is scheduled to take place at Fort Sumter on August 24th.

Hosted by the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival, this will be the first time ever that the public will have the chance to dine at the historic site. In addition to the incredible setting, each course will be comprised of indigenous ingredients reflecting the way people ate during the Civil War. Proceeds from the evening will go toward the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival trust and charitable causes.

Ticket prices for this year's event will set you back a pretty penny at $300 a piece. However, the price is all-inclusive, and a percentage is tax deductible. Ticket sales open to all on Friday, July 15th, through the Charleston Wine + Food website.
