Celebrate--it's time for the weekend round-up!

Image by Flickr user Jason Hargrove This dude's stoked that it's the weekend--aren't you?!

From delicious grub and live music to chick rockers and cutesy kitties--this weekend is sure to quench your thirst for things to do.

Friday

Picnics are fun...especially when they include tasty burgers and occur on the streets of our beloved city. Burger Babies understands how great the combination of downtown Charleston and their delicious cuisine is, so they've put together their Urban Picnic block party taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.

Live music. Plenty of room to boogie. It's Music on the Green, and it's happening Friday night at 6. Head out to Freshfields Village and get down to the jams of the bluesy Shrimp City Slim.

Saturday

Think you're the master of cornhole? Prove it at the Cornhole Competition taking place at Parson Jack's at 5 p.m. The entry fee is $5 per individual and $10 per team. And first place walks away with a sweet prize.

You've heard a lot about the Girls Rock Camp over the past few months, and now it's time for the long-awaited Girls Rock Showcase. Thirty-five young girls gathered together between July 18th and 22nd to learn about music and share their love for rock, and now they're ready to show off their stuff at Music Farm on Saturday. Come out and support these up-and-coming girl rockers!

All weekend long

All you sporties have something pretty awesome to look forward to this weekend: The World Team Finals is being hosted in our lovely city. From July 22nd through the 24th, Family Circle Tennis Center will host WTT Finals. Tickets are on sale now, so get 'em while they last!

Kitties are nice. Head over to Mount Pleasant Towne Center this weekend and rescue one kitten for $75 or two for $125 during Pet Helper's Kitten Fever event.

This weekend is the perfect time to help save a life. On Saturday, head over to Mellow Mushroom downtown at 10 p.m. for a fundraiser that will go towards fighting osteosarcoma, the most common histological form of primary bone cancer. Then, on Sunday, get tatted up at Blu Gorilla--100% of the proceeds will go towards fighting the disease.
