So, what's up in Charleston this weekend? Well, you've come to the right place to find out.

Let's kick off this edition of the weekend round-up with Friday's scheduled fun.

Two cool events are taking place on the College of Charleston campus: the College of Charleston volleyball team is hosting The Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview Classic and the first film of the Southern Circuit tour of Independent Filmmakers will be screened at the Simons Center for the Arts. Off campus fun includes Charleston Pride's Poker Run and Park Circle Pub Crawl and the opening reception for the new solo exhibition by installation and fiber artist Susan Lenz at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park.

On Saturday, party like it's 5771 at the Young Adult Division of the Charleston Jewish Federation's Rosh Hashanah party at the Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim. The Charleston Outlaw Rugby Club is showing off their softer sides at their first ever "Rent-a-Rugger" bachelor auction. If you're in the mood to do something more active, consider registering for the second annual Leslie McCravy Memorial 5K Run/Walk that's benefitting Pet Helpers.

Even pooches will reap the benefits of this weekend's Sunday Funday. Whirlin' Waters Adventure Waterpark is inviting all the furry friends out there for a summer swim session from noon until 5 p.m. Don't have a dog? Like art? Head out to Avondale and pop into The Greenway Studio's first artist reception
