It's weekend time, baby.

So what's good in the world of weekend fun in Charleston? Plenty, of course! Continuing throughout the weekend is the Charleston International Film Festival. In what has turned out to be the biggest and most diverse CIFF to date, there are still tickets to weekend film blocks, lectures, and after-parties.

The Charleston RiverDogs will be at The Joe all weekend long as they finish out the tail end of their seven-game homestand. Don't miss out on Friday night fireworks. In addition to the nightly games, the RiverDogs are hosting their annual Run Forrest Run 5K on Saturday evening. Registration is still open.

American Craft Beer Week continues with a slew of beer specials and events. Check out our handy guide to find out which brews will be tapped where and when.

As part of their continued effort to give back to the community, the Junior League of Charleston is hosting Free Friday Family Fest at the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry on May 20th from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge, a competition show on ESPN, is coming to Charleston for the first time ever this Friday and Saturday. It all goes down at the Citadel Mall.

Both Highroller derby teams take it to the track on Saturday afternoon for the league’s second double-header of the season, The Mother of All Bouts.

On Saturday night, the Charleston Jazz Orchestra will present a carefully selected amount of classics from Miles Davis' unique body of work in their next installment of the 2011 season.

Like turtles? Who doesn't? If you haven't heard, Sunday is World Turtle Day, and the South Carolina Aquarium is celebrating with special tours of their Sea Turtle Hospital.
