So what's up this weekend? So glad you asked.

For starters, there's a Grape Stomping Festival this Saturday at the Irvin House Vineyards on Wadmalaw Island. A grape stomping competition, an I Love Lucy look-alike competition, live music, picnicking and family fun will all be there...will you?

Another outdoor activity you might also be interested in is the release of the 53rd and 54th rehabilitated patients from the S.C. Aquarium's Sea Turtle Rescue Program at the Folly Beach County Park. These things are always packed, so be sure to get there well before the 4 p.m. release time.

For some air-conditioned entertainment, there's the College of Charleston's annual French Film Festival running through Sunday, August 29th. They'll be showing some spectacular foreign flicks at Sottile Theater, the Olde North Charleston Picture House, and the John Rivers Communications Museum.

The South Windermere shopping center has a new tennant: EarthArt Pottery and Art Studio. The contemporary art studio is a new spot to paint your own pottery, learn glass fusing and create with clay. The studio is officially open and will be hosting a happy hour today and tomorrow. Get your crafts on while you get your drink on.

Finally, if you're looking for some carnage on four wheels, then check out the Lowcountry HighRollers when they host the Soul City Sirens on Saturday night at the McAlister Fieldhouse.

For even more of what's hot this weekend, check out the Charleston City Paper's weekend round-up. There's also more posted on our very own Events Calendar which you can find right here.
