Myrtle Beach Film Festival grows despite lack of municipal support

Myrtle Beach Film Festival organizer Jerry Dalton approached the City of Myrtle Beach last year about receiving Accomodations Tax support for this year's event. The A-Tax advisory committee recommended $5,000 out of the $6.2 million fund.

City Council never made an allocation since that request in 2010 and the event ends on Saturday, April 22nd. The bright side is the 6th annual event appears to be one of the best ever. The Sun News catches up with both City of Myrtle Beach officials and Dalton to talk more about the event. Read it here.
