Original post: November is National American Indian History month, and in commemoration an American Indian Expo will be held next weekend, November 14-15.

Here's a bit about it from the their Web site:
Inspired by the Morgan Allen Platt Foundation whose mission is to educate humanity about American Indian people, the AMERICAN INDIAN EXPO will focus on the contributions of American Indians native to South Carolina and will include an educational fair, keynote address, and cultural festival.

So, if you are interested in learning about the South Carolina natives that predate Francis Marion, then head over to the Charleston Maritime Center.
