Puppets get naughty for 'Avenue Q'

Be warned: the puppets that you'll encounter during the musical 'Avenue Q' aren't like the ones you're used to.

Even the musical's poster hints at the naughty nature of their puppet cast with a warning stating "Full Puppet Nudity". And the puppets do, indeed, get naked.

Avenue Q opens at the Dock Street Theatre (135 Church Street) on February 10th. The Tony Award-winning musical will be put on by Charleston Stage Resident Acting Company's own members, with the exceptoin of the puppets themselves and New York transplant Maya Naff. Charleston Stage was one of the first regional theaters to obtain rights to Avenue Q.
