A Mt. Pleasant "Mom to Mom Sale"  will sell toys, books, fall and winter clothing, baby equipment, bedding, furniture and more to raise dollars for abused and neglected children.

The bi-annual consignment sale is set for October 6 at the National Guard Armory in Mt. Pleasant (map) — all proceeds will go directly to charity  run by local volunteers.

The benefiting charity is HALOS (Helping and Lending Outreach Support) working to provide resources and special opportunities to abused and neglected children and their caregivers through partnerships with faith-based and other community organizations.

The line will start earlier, but the doors will open at 7 a.m. and close at 11 a.m. and then reopen from none to 1:30 for the 50% off sale.

More than 100 different consignors and vendors are participating and credit cards will be excepted. There is a $1 admittance fee that goes directly to charity.

The Mom to Mom Sale is hosted by the three Mt. Pleasant MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) Clubs.
