Looking to broaden your contacts in the Charleston tech scene? Well, consider heading out the fourth Wednesday of each month for Tech After Five in Charleston.

Started in Greenville, the monthly meet up has made its way to Charleston to, in the words of organizer Phil Yanov, "attract and advance the goals of high tech professionals and entrepreneurs."

In a nutshell they're looking to help connect tech-minded folk to those who have an interest in furthering the tech community.

Yanov says that business owners say they to look for investors, customers, talent, or business partners, and that professionals come to connect with peers, find managers, recruiters, and coaches.

Yanov continues: "If you're starting or building a tech business we invite you to attend. If you're a career minded tech professional with aspirations of advancement and connecting with your peers, you are invited. If you are a professional of any sort that can help either one of those two groups, you are invited."

If it sounds like something you're interested in, come out on this Wednesday, September 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Southend Brewery at 161 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston.

The event is free and you should RSVP over here.

Connect with the group on their website, Twitter, or use the #Ta5 hashtag.
