Come check out the Gibbes Museum for free during 'nature inspired' day

Want to check out the Gibbes for free, and maybe check out a nature angle while there? Well you're in luck Saturday, February 20th.

The museum is host to the "Nature Inspired Jr. League of Charleston Community Day" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be hands-on activities for children, museum tours and musical performances for all ages. At 10:30 there will be a musical performance by early childhood students from Memminger Elementary, at 11:15 Author Christi Sanford will read books from her Legare the Lizard series in the Rotunda.

Tangentially related is the current display at the Gibbes "Lure of the Lowcountry." It's on show through April 18.
