Charleston artists breaking out at the Old City Jail

Social Restaurant + Wine Bar and Entropy Ensemble are teaming up with the American College of the Building Arts and Charleston local artists to present 'Jail Break,' an all-encompassing arts event held at the Old City Jail on Thursday, April 28th.

The historic jail will provide an unconventional yet perfect setting to showcase art, music, and dance pieces by local artists and students. Inside, the walls of the Old City Jail will be converted into a gallery, displaying works by local visual artists and students from the American College of Building Arts. Also inside the jail, Charleston's newest professional modern dance company, Annex Dance Company, will feature a dance installation piece.

In the main yard outside the jail, live music by Ryan Bonner and the Dearly Beloved, Wadata will be featured. The musical headliner for the evening is Entropy Ensemble, most recently recognized for their highly successful multi-dimensional production, ‘Between the Lines’, at Sottile Theatre last November. Social Restaurant + Wine Bar will provide beer and wine available for purchase.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the party continues until 11 p.m.

For more information and to purchase $10 advance tickets, visit www.entropyensemble.com. Tickets will be available at the door: Student tickets are $7 with a student I.D., and it's $12 for regular entry the day of the event.
