Charleston hastily awaits the production of West Side Story playing College of Charleston’s Sottile Theatre (map). This renowned Broadway musical has enchanted audiences for decades and debuts Wednesday, September 10.

A bit about it from an e-mailed press release:
The haunting melodies of “Maria” and “Somewhere” provide the warm glow that illuminate Tony and Maria, the star-crossed lovers who find love and peace in the midst of the wildfires burning about them.
