Come to Daniel Island with a picnic basket and blanket in tow as The Charleston Symphony Orchestra returns to Daniel Island's Smythe Park on Saturday, May 16th, for a free lakefront concert.

If free music on a warm spring evening isn't enough for you, then also know that it's a chance to show off you picnic planning skills: Prizes will be awarded for the most elaborate and creative picnic spreads, with judging beginning at 6:30 p.m.

You're welcome to bring your own food and beverages for their picnics. Ted's Butcherblock will be offering beer, wine by the bottle and the glass, hot sandwiches and to-go items.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free and parking will be available in the Daniel Island School parking lot on Daniel Island Drive (directions). The rain date is Sunday, May 17.
