Free screening of film on Mt. Pleasant's historical African American communities

Tonight at 6 p.m., head down to the City Gallery at Waterfront Park for a special screening of the documentary 'Bin Yah:There's No Place Like Home.'

Bin Yah:There's No Place Like Home is a documentary directed by Justin Nathanson that explores the potential loss of important historic African American communities in Mt. Pleasant, S.C due to growth and development. Through the testimonies of the residents themselves, the film explores the culture, the history, the importance of land and the concept of home, giving a voice to those who seldom have had a chance to be heard.

Admission to the screening is free and open to the public, so don't miss out. The City Gallery at Waterfront Park is located at 34 Prioleau Street, downtown.
