Here's your chance to tour the Dock Street Theater

The public is invited to join Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. and members of City Council for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the reopening of the historic Dock Street Theatre this Thursday, March 18th at 7 p.m.

The event will begin outside the Dock Street Theatre on Church Street with a prelude by the Charleston Symphony Youth Orchestra (beginning at 6:15 p.m.). Following will be a brief ceremony (beginning at 7 p.m.)with speakers and a ribbon cutting ceremony. During the program, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra String Quartet will play a piece played during the 1937 opening of the Theatre. After the ribbon cutting, the guests will be invited inside to tour the historic Dock Street Theatre.

The Dock Street Theatre will also be open on Friday, March 19th from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the public to come by and see the beautiful building.
