The Long Bay Symphony presents "Halloween Extravaganza"

The Long Bay Symphony continues its 24th Season on Sunday, October 30th from 4pm to  6pm in the Myrtle Beach High School Music and Arts Center.

A “Halloween Extravaganza” is the theme for the second concert of the Symphony Series with a program of chilling orchestral masterpieces inspired by the frightful and fantastical, complete with actors and special effects.  Special guests will be Christie Karavan with Myrtle Beach School of Performing Arts, actors from Atlantic Stage and singers from Carolina Master Chorale.

  • Bach/Stokowski - Toccata and Fugue in D minor
  • Liszt - “Mephisto” Waltz No. 1 
  • Saint-Saëns - Danse macabre 
  • Berlioz - Symphonie fantastique (excerpts)
  • Humperdinck - “Witch’s Ride” from Hänsel and Gretel
  • Grieg - Peer Gynt incidental music (excerpts)
