The celebration commences on Friday at 7:30 p.m. with a parade down Avondale, where people will march from bar to bar to pick up drinks and more Mardi Gras lovers.

Saturday starting at 7 p.m. Voodoo's Winter Jazz Festival will present three local jazz collaborations; the price for which is only $5.

That's just a couple of the events attracting Mardi Gras enthusiasts over the course of the next 5 days.
