BBQ Championship and bluegrass at Boone Hall Plantation

Original post: If you didn't get your fill of the Lowcountry, bluegrass, and BBQ on Saturday, then Sunday will surely do it for you: Historic Boone Hall Plantation is playing host to the Southern National Barbecue Championship & Bluegrass Festival on Sunday, August 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Professional barbecuers are traveling to the competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.

Green Pastures In The Sky - Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys

Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys (well known for music in "O, Brother, Where Art Thou?") will be headlining, and Nashville Bluegrass Band (best known for performances of "I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow") will also perform, among others.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the gate. The plantation is located at 1235 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant.
