Coming up on Wednesday, September 9, the Charleston Hoop Group will celebrate World Hoop Day by hooping on King Street and collecting donations to benefit the Louie's Kids organization.

The Hoop Group is hoping to raise $250 for Louie's Kids, a nonprofit organization that raises funds to help treat childhood obesity, which afflicts 25 million American children today.

All you have to do is bring yourself and your friends dressed up in your favorite hooping costumes, your hoops and your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Check out the Facebook event page for all the details.
