I've just caught wind of Big Gay Beach Day VI, which is set to go down on Folly Beach on Sunday, June 21, and is hosted by Charleston Area Empowerment Project.

Organizers guarantee it’ll be the biggest beach party in South Carolina. Presented by Charleston Area Mpowerment Project (CHAMP), festivities include dancing, DJ, prizes, volleyball and the group’s annual “tug ‘o’ war” pitting the lesbians against gay men. Donations acccepted. No pets allowed on beach. Alcohol is permitted. 1600 E. Ashley Ave. Free. For more information call Stoo at 843-744-4062.

This will be the biggest beach party in the area for the whole 'family.' The whole day is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged. Come out between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to catch the action.

Drive toward 1600 East Ashley Avenue and there is an empty lot on the right. Follow the signs and you'll find the party out on the beach.
