Friday, June 20 is our longest day of the year. The Post and Courier offers 10 ideas on how to make the most of the day.

Here's the synopsis of those thoughts:
1 Take a walk on the water
2 Walk around, check out Charleston's museums
3 Dine outside
4 See the Hunley
5 Visit Charles Towne Landing
6 Visit Cypress Gardens
7 Visit Bee City
8 Take a tour, walk around or rent a bike
9 Get local food by going crabbing, picking blueberries, or visiting a roadside market
10 Watch live music

The day will run some 14 hours and 19 minutes from June 18th through the 21st, which eight minutes longer than it was June 1st, and 4 hours and 18 minutes longer than it was December 29th.

The forecast calls some scattered thunderstorms, but it looks like things should be relatively cool with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s and lows in the 70s.
