Roller derby returns to the Lowcountry this September.

Join the Lowcountry Highrollers Bruisin’ Betties as they welcome the Soul City Sirens for some flat-track action on Saturday, September 29. The headliner bout starts at 6 p.m. at The Citadel's McAlister Field House, 171 Moultrie Streetin downtown Charleston.

Come early to see your future favorite derby girls. The Highrollers’ junior derby team, Holy City Chaos, plays Augusta’s junior skaters, Goddaughters of Soul, at 5 p.m.

Per usual, it's a real party at the track. There will be beer and music, plus fun for the kids and great raffle prizes. Keep partying with the players and fans after the final whistle at Recovery Room Tavern.

Bout admission is $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Children 10 and younger get in free. A portion of proceeds will benefit Fields to Families, a Mount Pleasant group that links local farms with organizations that feed hungry people in our community.
