Local superhero releases comic book, plans signing
The Peanut Man: Battler of trials and tribulations of the children and less fortunate.Tony the Peanut Man threw out the first pitch of the June 13 RiverDogs game. Just a short while later, the man was gone and the superhero, Peanut Man, had appeared.
Tony reports that Peanut Man will have a book signing from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. July 11 at the West Ashley Barnes & Noble. The comic book is also available at Tony's Web site ($5 including shipping), Captain's Comics & Toys (766-6611), and Cross Garden Center (766-1687).
He will be featured at the Lowcountry Peanut Festival Oct. 18 at Riverfront Park in North Charleston.
