Flogging Molly comes to House of Blues (Update: More info)

Update 2/13/2012: We heard from the band today with some more details about their upcoming album.

This will be the band's first major US tour since the release of Speed of Darkness, an album of insightful, socially conscious lyrics with a blend of Celtic-rock sounds and punk energy. The album came together in Detroit during the economic collapse, Wall Street Journal calls it "...a rallying cry from America's ultimate underdog city." There's a CBS News video below and below that is the first report with details on tickets.

First Report: As a part of their 8th annual countdown to St. Patrick's Day, Celtic folk punk band Flogging Molly will stop in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, February 25th.

The "Green 17 Tour 2012" kicks off on February 17th in Detroit and winds up in Tempe on March 17th. Tickets for the all-ages show start at $23 for standing general admission (is it possible to sit down at a Flogging Molly show?)  Show starts at 8:00 p.m.

If you purchase tickets through the Flogging Molly website, you can add a cool tour t-shirt to your order.
