Redux Contemporary Art Center and New Music Collective are hosting a concert featuring experimental jazz/rock group Jason Ajemian's High Life this Saturday, August 8.

This isn't just your average concert. The band will be discussing their interesting addition to their live show beforehand. Take a look at this excerpt from New Music Colletive's Web site:

For this band and tour Jason has created scores in the architectural drawing software AutoCAD to create visual blueprints that dictate the flow and motion of a musical set as well as open the performers up to visual influences. The performers will have pictographic schematics representing both the overall flow of the set as well as close-ups of individual sections.

Tickets are on sale for $10 general admission and $5 for students. The show will be at Redux, downtown, at 135 Saint Philip Street.
