Burgers and Sunday Supper this weekend at the Bee

There are two events going down at Butcher & Bee this weekend that'll make your mouth water. One involves burgers and the other will highlight the flavors and culture of the Lowcountry.

To kick it all off, Chef Stuart Tracy is crafting a special "Burger Night" menu for Friday. Starting at 6 p.m. and wrapping up at 3 a.m., the menu will include both classic and creative burgers. Tracy and crew are using everything from pasture raised, dry aged beef to lamb to pork - all from Caw Caw Creek . They'll also be smoking portobellos and serving up multiple vegetarian and vegan options. In usual Bee fashion, there will be plenty of sides as well and even milkshakes!

On Sunday, August 12, Chef BJ Dennis is taking over the Bee's kitchen for yet another Gullah & Geechie Sunday Supper. BJ just completed several events at the Gullah Geechie Nation Appreciation Week, and he was the featured chef for the festival this year. The August 12 supper will feature carrots, eggplant, okra and greens, all fresh from Joseph Fields Organic Farms. The main dish, unless you go with the vegan tasting, is glazed turkey wings. Dessert is a Huguenot torte. A three-course family style tasting menu is only $25, and kids are invited to join at discounted pricing.

Reservation are accepted but not mandatory for Sunday Supper. Call (843) 619-0202 to save your seats. Sunday Supper hours are 5:30 - 9:30 p.m.
