Celebrate the season at Slow Food Charleston's Harvest Potluck

Slow Food Charleston invites you to join them on Sunday, October 9th, for their annual Harvest Potluck, hosted by Joseph and Helen Fields of Fields Farm on Johns Island.

Festivities include an outdoor picnic, live music from vocalist and performer Ann Caldwell and Loose Fit as well as farm tours and led by Joseph Fields. Special guest Jonathan Green will be speaking about his new Lowcountry Rice Project, an effort to examine the history and culture of the crop and its important role in creating the economy of the Lowcountry.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages and any picnic supplies needed. The Potluck will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Suggested contribution of $10 by cash or check at the door, which will support Slow Food Charleston’s nutrition projects in local schools. Pets on a leash are welcome. For additional information about Slow Food Charleston, visit www.slowfoodcharleston.org.
